These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Auction platform operated by GolfWarez ("we," "us," or "our") at www.golfwarez.com. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

GolfWarez provides The Auction, a golf competition management platform that enables golf clubs and player groups to organize Calcutta-style auction competitions and related formats. The platform manages player registration, handicap tracking, score entry, results calculation, and club credit wallets.

2. Account Registration

To use our services, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, and handicap information. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Authentication and SMS Messaging

    By providing your mobile phone number during registration, you consent to receive one-time verification codes (OTP) via SMS text message for the purpose of account authentication. These messages are transactional and necessary for account access. Message frequency depends on your login activity. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you received the message. For help, text HELP. Opting out of SMS will require you to use email-based verification instead. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  

4. Club Credit Wallet

The club credit wallet is a record-keeping system managed by your golf club's professional or administrator. Credits are issued based on competition results and can be redeemed at the pro shop at the club's discretion. Club credits are:

Not real currency, stored value, or a financial instrument.
Not redeemable for cash.
Not transferable between players or clubs.
Subject to the policies of your individual club.

GolfWarez is the record-keeper, not the issuer or guarantor of club credits. All credit-related disputes are between you and your club.

5. Birdie Pool

The birdie pool is an optional cash side game organized by your club's professional. GolfWarez calculates results and displays payout amounts but does not collect, hold, or distribute birdie pool cash. All cash moves directly between players and the club professional. GolfWarez has no liability for birdie pool funds.

6. Scoring and Results

Competition results are calculated by the platform based on scores entered by designated scorekeepers. While we strive for accuracy, the club professional has final authority over all competition results, standings, and payouts.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit false scores or manipulate your handicap to gain unfair advantage.
Attempt to access other players' accounts.
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation.

8. Intellectual Property

The GolfWarez name, The Auction brand, and all associated software, designs, and content are the property of GolfWarez. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

GolfWarez provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to incorrect results, lost credits, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your club credits may be forfeited per your club's policies.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
